Phoenix Petroleum Philippines turned over the Phoenix Waiting Shed and the Phoenix Library to our adopted school, Vicente Hizon Elementary School, on July 8, 2010. The turnover coincided with the school’s foundation day and commemoration of the birth anniversary of Don Vicente Hizon.
The blessing and turn over was attended by the heirs of the Hizon family led by Vinco Reyes, and Department of Education officials led by the school’s Supervisor Ms. Julie Jamiana and School Principal Ms. Filipinas Samblingo. Phoenix Petroleum was represented by Corporate Affairs Manager Ben Sur.
The Hizon family and Department of Education expressed their gratitude to Phoenix Petroleum for the support and additional facilities to the school.
Phoenix Petroleum joined the Adopt-A-School program of the Department of Education in 2008, and since then has shouldered the honorarium of pre-school teachers at Hizon Elementary School including monthly budget for instructional materials.

Mr. Vinco Reyes, Hizon Elem. School Principal Ms. Filipinas Samblingo, DepEd School Supervisor Ms. Julie Jamiana, and Phoenix Petroleum Corporate Affairs Manager Ben Sur cut the ribbon at the opening of the Phoenix Library.

Having their own library is a dream come true for the school.

The Phoenix Library is a comfortable place for young students to enjoy reading books.
